Richard Hricko

Printmaker and professor Richard Hricko earned a BFA in Printmaking and Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, an MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hricko has had exhibitions around the world at institutions including Art at Wharepuke in Kerikeri, New Zealand; CR Ettinger Studio Gallery in Philadelphia, Kiernan Gallery in Virginia; Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, The Print Center in Philadelphia, St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Paul Watkins Gallery at Minnesota State University in Winona, Temple University in Philadelphia, Remarque New Grounds Print Workshop in Albuquerque, NM; Mini Prints International 2017 at Galleri Heike Arndt in Berlin, Germany; 3rd Global Print 2017 at Espaço Miguel Torga in São Martinho de Anta, Portugal; Inkmasters 2016 at The Tanks Art Centre in Cairns in Queensland, Australia; and Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hricko received awards including the Award of Excellence from the 2018 International Juried Show at Beacon Gallery in Boston, Massachusetts; Jurors Award from The Boston Printmakers 2017 North American Print Biennial in Cambridge, Massachusetts; Spring Research Grant from Temple University, Takach Press Corporation Award from Normal Editions Workshop in Normal, Illinois; 1st Place in Professional Category at SGCI Members Exchange Portfolio/Exhibition, Honorable Mention Award from Press Play at The Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, Colorado; and Joint Winner in Art at Wharepuke in Kerikeri, New Zealand. He lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a professor at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture.
