About the Work

"Impressions: Contemporary Asian Artist Prints" is an invited national exhibition that includes twenty-eight ethnically diverse artists born in Asian, the Pacific Rim, and the United States. Each artist is currently residing in the U. S. but is linked by birth or ethnic heritage to one of eight nations: China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, and India.

The exhibit was co-curated by three professionals: Judith Stein, independent curator; Willie Williams, professor of photography, Haverford Colleg (PA) and former gallery director; and Michi Itami, associate professor of art, who teaches printmaking and is director of the Master of Fine Arts Program at the City College of New York.
