My piece called “Neither Here Nor There” is a short little story about a sentiment that one might feel when one doesn't feel that one is actually in a place where one is, yet cannot find where the place that one belongs.
The figure in the middle that is sleeping on his Island has resigned to accepting where he is, but he isn't really there. Only in physical form is he there, but his spirit is floating with his memories , his imaginings, places he will at one point discover but has not yet encountered. He is neither here nor there. Yet so much alive. Maybe for now only sleeping.
