Ray George

Artist and educator Ray George was born in Cedar Falls, IA. He earned a BA and MA from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls.

George had a lengthy career in higher education, teaching for many years at Illinois State University's College of Fine Arts, Normal, IL. Professor George supported the Normal Editions Workshop at Illinois State University through his participation as both an artist and a collaborative printer.

His work has been included in exhibitions presented by the Printworks Gallery and Landgall Gallery, Chicago; Peoria Art Guild, IL; Waterloo Center for the Arts, IA; Kenyon College, Gambier, OH; University of Nebraska, Lincoln; University of Delaware, Newark; and Venable/Neslage Gallery, Washington, DC, among others.

George lived and worked in Bloomington, IL.
