Lori Spencer

Lori Spencer is a Philadelphia-based artist and printmaker. She earned her BFA in printmaking from the State University of New York, Purchase, and an MFA in book arts and printmaking at University of the Arts, Philadelphia.

She has exhibited her work at institutions including North River Gallery, Chatham, NY; President's Office Gallery at University of the Arts, Philadelphia; Word & Image Gallery at Bright Hill Literary Center, Treadwell, NY; Lewis Art Gallery at Millsaps College, Jackson, MS; and Vox Populi Gallery, Philadelphia.

Spencer’s work is in public collections including the Philadelphia Museum of Art; Cleveland Institute of Art; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN; and Library of Congress, Washington, DC. She is a professor at University of the Arts, where she spent two decades as the master printer at the university's Borowsky Center for Publication Arts, working with artists to produce artist books and offset lithography prints.

Spencer received a residency at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, China; two residencies at Soaring Gardens Artist Retreat, Laceyville, PA; a Faculty Enrichment Grant at University of the Arts; Venture Fund grants for University of the Arts faculty research; an Art Residency Grant at Women's Studio Workshop, Rosendale, NY; and a Visiting Artist Fellowship at Brandywine Workshop and Archives, Philadelphia.
