Bill Hutson

Bill Hutson is an abstract painter from San Marcos, TX. He studied at the San Francisco Academy of Art, Los Angeles City College, and the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

Hutson has exhibited at the California African American Museum, Los Angeles; Studio Museum in Harlem, Onyx Art Gallery, and the SculptureCenter, New York City; and Galerie d’Art Noir Contemporain, Paris, France, among other museums and galleries.

His work is in the permanent collections of the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba; Brooklyn Museum, New York City; Georges Visat Collection, Paris; Studio Museum in Harlem, New York City; Newark Museum of Art, NJ; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA; and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Hutson lives and works in Lancaster, PA, where he is the Jennie Brown Cook and Betsy Hess Cook Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Franklin & Marshall College.
