Agboola Folarin

Agboola Folarin was a sculptor and professor born in Nigeria. He studied at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife-Ife, Nigeria, where he became a professor of fine arts. Before his passing in 2010, Folarin was commissioned to create a metal mural sculpture at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Professor Folarin was Alagba (a true Elder), a fount of creativity that he freely shared with all and sundry; an unstinting and very influential teacher, and above all a person who personified the Yoruba ideals of Iwapele and Aratutu (gracious behavior and calm personal comportment).
